Generator prime movers vs. motor starting voltage drop: why does it matter what's spinning the alternator?
Starting current can be 5-8 times rated current for a 3-phase motor. You need to provide links to motor datasheet and generators.

Which external factors are affecting the price of quality steel in North America?
This is a Q&A site. Where OP has a specific problem they wish to solve with hopefully a specific answer or answers. You have specific knowledge and are seeking a discussion, so no specific answer. Comments are just that, comments.

Which external factors are affecting the price of quality steel in North America?
Regardless of the irony of my handle and your question, it's about the economics of steel and the US. Very little about engineering design. As in an engineering problem to solve. This would have more luck on an economics or US foreign policy forum. JMO

This is not the forum for your type of question since it is not about design but the economy of steel.

What is the price per MWh of photovoltaic energy production including battery storage?
Because PV-battery hybrid has battery storage for 4 hours, which would be smaller capacity than full storage.

Does magnetic field affect a motor that is powered off
If electromagnet is powered by DC, no impact. AC possible.

Can my charger handle this?
You know the answer. Define range. As in, an input voltage range of 5-30V.

is it possible to negatively charge a wire?
Like charges repel, so electrons would disperse over full volume / surface.

Why there is no cavitation in water towers?
Water exits tank from the bottom and enters tank, via ground pumps, from the top. System is gravity fed. No pumps on exit so where would cavitation take place?

Is there a way to short a low voltage circuit remotely without physically touching it?
This question needs more context. Otherwise it is just opinions.
