Your understanding of the issues is good. Q1: It's not overkill at all. All of the elements you've mentioned are needed. Q2: The low-pass filter frequency needs to significantly attenuate all frequencies above 1/2 the sampling frequency. It makes sense for a 'low fi' arrangement to reduce the filter frequency a bit so as to simplify filter design which ...

The component density on chips made by photo lithography is directly dependant on the wavelength of the light source used and as shorter wavelengths equate to higher photon energies you need to develop practical sources for ever increasing frequencies and the masks and dyes to go with them, Equally you need more and more precise and clean manufacturing ...

There's a adage: you have to crawl before you can walk. You may as well ask why supersonic aircraft weren't developed first, before people started experimenting with gliders, the Wright brothers developing the first powered aircraft, followed by propeller powered biplanes, then monoplanes, then jet aircraft and finally supersonic jet aircraft. All this over ...

In pure control theory, everything is a mathematical entity. So a controller is a mathematical entity that realizes a certain transfer function (or a certain time-dependent behavior, if there are multiple inputs or outputs involved). A microcontroller is a term for a chip that contains a microprocessor core, memory, and peripherals, that can run stand-...

The Bekenstein Bound sets the theoretical maximum storage density for storage media, which is equal to the entropy of a black hole of the same volume, or roughly: $$I<=\frac{2πkRE}{ħc\ln2}$$ where I is the information expressed in number of bits contained in the quantum states in the sphere. This works out to $$2.5769082 × 10^{43} × M × R$$ where M is ...

Physical limits are related to the advance in technology. 20 years ago for humans, transistors of 1 nm were unimaginable. The limit that you mention can be established by the actual technology, but we can not set the physical limit: maybe in the future, we will store data in atoms or something like that. Maybe the question will be better like this "What'...

They are the extremes of the voltage at the input which define the required 0 and 1 logic levels. On the data sheet Logic 1 must be at least 2.0v and logic 0 less than 0.8 to function properly.

You are correct. In the attached document shows minimum 2.0V and above is considered Logic High. Likewise maximum voltage of 0.8V and below is considered logic low.

Take a look at ARDUINO MOTOR SHIELD REV3. Here is what it looks like. If you have several motors then might have to stack several motor shields.

Gimbals are the classic solution for this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gimbal And if you don't need any roll, you can omit one of the gimbal rings, in which case a pan/tilt mechanism is sufficient (often sold for photography.) You might look for a gimballed gyroscope toy and start with that. (Flight quality gimbals are expensive.)

Do you need a single camera, or could you build a precision mount with 2 smaller cameras, each covering one end of the bar? Saves you a ton of pixels. Or, for that matter, a single camera with an external set of path-folding mirrors & prisms so that what the camera "sees" is just the ends of the bars. This is a common approach taken in various ...

There are Bluetooth adapters available which will hook into audio system via 3mm jack or optical jack and broadcast the music to your headset. However if you want to receive the music into your phone, you need another adapter to hook into your phone audio jack. I have both and they cost me \$20 each.

Moore's law is not a scientific law, it is only a business model (a roadmap). It has become very famous because of its accuracy especially during the time when microelectronics was making its first steps. When you are a business man and you manage to predict accurately how technology will develop you will have a much better chance to also estimate how ...

Ok firstly calm down, everything has an answer. you say you read and write data from real time counter by I2C debugger but can not by microcontroller; MCU stands between LCD and RTC right? and there is alternate read/write path to RTC, either MCU can access it, either I2C debugger is that right? so from all this i assume you have some kind of Development ...

It is perfectly possible to build your own mixed circuit chip, but you will indeed need to learn quite a few things if you want to do it by yourself. First I would like to say that what you will do is not a drag and drop but a place and route If you want to do it by yourself, here are the steps to follow: Determine the technology you want to use, if you ...

Static field effects on devices Strong static magnetic fields will have little effect on most electronics, including most of the ones on your list. We routinely placed basic electronics in 1-2T fields, and never had any real problems. There are some exceptions though (this is probably not a complete list): Relays work by using a magnet to move a piece of ...
