I want to design a hypoid gear set with a ratio 2:1 for 3D printing with an ofset of 8 mm but I do not know where to start.

Otvinta.com has a calculator and a tutorial to go with it but the gears do not mesh at the end using my own inputs.

I believe there is no standard way to do it like involute spur or helical gears and that several companies like Gleason made their own standards and machines to manufacture them.
