I agree that GeoTIFF format doesn't store wavelength information. But for hyperspectral images spectral wavelength is important to know. I got to know that the GeoTiff files store these information in different file. But i couldn't able to find that spectral wavelength information in those files (I downloaded Landsat GeoTIFF files from earthexplorer and checked the information in .MET files). Here my question is, do the hyperspectral GeoTIFF metadata files have spectral wavelengths? If all metadata files don't have that information, how to decide wavelength for bands in hyperspectral cube? Without the spectral wavelength information, how to pick bands to visualize true color, false color etc..images?
