I was trying to understand the way this problem was solved and I got confused with the latter part of the solution. I encircled the part that confused me. They seem to contradict each other. If $\dfrac{\text{d}v(0+)}{\text{d}t} = 0$ why is it $\dfrac{\text{d}v(0+)}{\text{d}t} = -1$ in the other one? Please explain.

$\begingroup$ That's a typo, the first encircled equation is supposed to be $\frac{dv_1}{dt}$. $\endgroup$ – Sam Farjamirad Apr 16 at 11:52
