I am a university student attempting to build a haptic feedback glove, and while I do have a main design using electroadhesion, it is a bit finicky, thus I am looking for alternatives for design.
Specifically looking for an actuator that I can send a 5V signal to that will clamp down onto a strip of metal (1/2" wide) or string. This should stop the strip or string from moving.
Alternatively looking for a DC motor that will provide about 2-15 inch-pounds of forceand be easily back-driveable.
Both of these actuators should be able to fit on the back of a hand and be powered from a battery pack, 5-12 VDC.
