Flashback arrestors are often sold in 'Fuel' and 'Oxygen' versions. In the UK fuel flashback arrestors have left handed threads and oxygen flashback arrestors have right handed threads.

Other than the threads and the label - is there any difference between oxygen and fuel flashback arrestors? I assume the oxygen ones probably have an oxidiser safe grease but I was wondering if there was anything else.

  • $\begingroup$ Well one difference is oxygen needs something to use as fuel and fuel needs a certain amount of oxygen to burn... $\endgroup$ – Solar Mike Jan 11 at 19:45
