It also seems, upon my further research, that for wells, you can use pre-made concrete or steel rings that lower themselves into the ground as you dig soil out from underneath them (www.wateraid.org/~/media/Publications/Hand-dug-wells.pdf ). That doesn't seem like a viable approach for complete buildings though :) | |
